Check Upshur Court Calendar

Court dates in Upshur County are spread across several offices, so the fastest start is the court named on your notice or case record. The Upshur County court calendar draws from the general trial court, County Court, justice courts, municipal courts, and a specialty child-protection docket. An online hearing search helps, but revised calendars and restricted matters may still need a call to the clerk. One caution: a listed setting is not a result. Before you plan to appear, check the county, court, date, time, room, setting type, and status, and confirm any reset.

The Upshur County Court Calendar

Start with the 115th District Court page, which links annual calendars, including a revised 2025 PDF. That document sets official dates for District Court. Read the revision label closely, though. The 115th serves Upshur and Marion Counties, so confirm any setting you find there actually sits in Upshur County. A calendar may group work by date or by type rather than reproduce the whole case docket.

Other settings live elsewhere. The County Clerk routes current covered hearings through Tyler UCMS. Four JP offices keep their own lower-court schedules. City municipal courts handle citation and appearance instructions separately, and the Northeast Texas Child Protection Court Number 2 posts an Upshur date list through Texas Courts Online. No single calendar proves every local hearing date.

Upshur Search Hearings Fields

The Tyler UCMS Search Hearings tool offers detailed controls over the County Clerk's current covered judicial records. The live form may ask for a location, hearing type, search type, judicial officer, courtroom, and a bounded date range. On the name path, last and first names are required. Middle name and Sounds Like stay optional. Menu choices fill in live, so pick from what the form offers.

How to Find Your Court Date

Use every channel that fits your court. Start online when an official calendar or portal exists, then confirm with the clerk when the setting affects an appearance. Keep the cause number and court notice close at hand.

  1. Read the notice for the court name, Upshur County designation, cause number, and case type.
  2. For District Court, check the official calendar PDF linked by the court.
  3. For covered County Clerk matters, use Tyler UCMS Search Hearings or Smart Search.
  4. Try re:SearchTX as a statewide layer, while allowing for limits in local coverage.
  5. Call the proper clerk: District Court at 903-843-2836, District Clerk at 903-843-5031, or County Clerk at 903-843-4015.
  6. For a JP or city case, contact that precinct or municipal court instead of the District Clerk.

You can also check in person at the right office during posted hours. Bring the cause number and ask whether a filed notice changed the date.

Upshur District Calendar Phone Check

A PDF can stay online after an amended calendar replaces it. The official 2025 link itself says revised. If a date shows in the PDF but not in a case result, call the District Court or District Clerk. Give the Upshur County cause number, the date shown, the setting type, and your party role. Ask whether the setting is still active and which courtroom or building applies.

The District Court's office number is 903-843-2836. The District Clerk's is 903-843-5031. The first answers scheduling questions for the court. The second keeps the records for district cases. Neither an old PDF nor a web search should override a later filed notice or direct clerk confirmation. Write down whom you spoke with and when, especially if the date moved.

Note: a revised calendar is a reason to verify a setting. It is not a reason to assume every date in the earlier file was canceled.

Reading a Court Setting

Read a setting line field by field. Confirm the court and Upshur County first, since the 115th District Court covers two counties. Then capture the time and place, the event type, and whether the line has been reset or canceled.

Court or program115th District Court, County Court, JP, municipal court, or Child Protection Court.
CountyUpshur County rather than Marion County on a shared district calendar.
Date and timeThe posted hearing date and time, subject to later notice or revision.
Room or locationThe courtroom or building shown by the setting.
Judicial officerThe judge or officer listed when public.
Setting typeArraignment, pretrial, motion, trial, probate, family, civil, or another public label.
StatusSet, reset, continued, canceled, completed, or another displayed status.

A date on the calendar is just a setting, not an outcome. For what the court actually did, look to the later docket entry, the written order, or the judgment.

Two Upshur Court Buildings

The historic Upshur County Courthouse sits at 100 West Tyler Street in Gilmer. The District Court and District Clerk pages instead place their operative offices elsewhere. That address is the Upshur County Justice Center, 405 North Titus Street. An old reference that says only "courthouse" can send you to the wrong building. Use the room and address on the current court notice, and verify with the clerk if either is missing.

Commissioners Court meetings cause their own confusion. They convene in the historic courthouse's third-floor Commissioners Court Room. Meetings follow the county's stated meeting schedule. Those are public government meetings, not judicial case settings. The Commissioners Court calendar cannot confirm a criminal, civil, probate, or JP hearing. Court name, cause number, and setting type tell the two apart.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

"Set" means the event is scheduled at the published time. "Reset" or "continued" means the court moved it. "Canceled" means the listed event will not proceed as posted. That alone does not reveal the case outcome. The case may stay active even after the setting changes.

Setting
A scheduled court event such as a motion hearing, arraignment, pretrial conference, or trial.
Reset
A new date substituted for the prior setting.
Continuance
A delay granted or ordered by the court.
Cancellation
The listed event will not occur as posted; check the docket for what follows.
Disposition
The recorded way a case or charge ended, which a calendar alone may not show.

When an Upshur County date changes, save the cause number, find the latest entry, and call the correct clerk. Ask whether a new written notice was filed.

Upshur Child Protection Date List

Child-protection cases in Upshur County sit on their own schedule. The Northeast Texas Child Protection Court Number 2 docket list keeps those dates apart from the regular District Court calendar. Posted settings run into late 2026 and early 2027. One date carries a public PDF with identifying details. The list can verify that a date was set on the calendar. It is not a license to copy protected details about a child, parent, attorney, cause, or placement.

A public date list does not make the underlying case public. Parties should confirm their own setting through official notice or the proper clerk, since child-protection records stay sensitive.

Upshur Jury Cancellation Check

Summoned jurors in Upshur County get a cancellation check. It works differently from a case lookup. The county juror page tells each juror to call 903-843-5031 on the Sunday before service. That call tells you whether the panel was canceled. The county also posts updates to its Facebook page. Remember, the phone line covers the panel only. It says nothing about the merits or status of any single lawsuit or prosecution. A canceled panel does not mean a case ended. The court may reset the trial, resolve the matter, draw another panel, or take some other step the docket will show later. Follow the summons instructions, and bring party-specific hearing questions to the case clerk. Do not use the jury line in place of a municipal, JP, or County Court calendar check.

What To Do If You Miss a Setting

Act fast. Look at the notice and find which court set the date. Then call that court's clerk. Give them the Upshur County cause number, the setting date and type, and your role in the case. Ask what the public docket now shows. Ask whether the court issued a new setting, an order, or some other instruction. Never assume a missed date was reset on its own.

Missed setting: Contact the named court now. A calendar search cannot give legal advice or undo an order, warrant, default, or other consequence.

Missed a court date? First figure out which court had your setting. The District Clerk handles District Court matters, while the County Clerk is the right office for County Court or probate. Cases in a JP or municipal court go back to that court directly, so call it yourself.

The Upshur County case search can help you spot a public docket entry tied to your case. Still, whatever the court itself tells you controls. If the docket record is restricted, request only the public portion and ask the clerk for the next lawful step.
